All applicants must have the appropriate coaching certification and/or the willingness to complete the appropriate program to get certified as prescribed by USA Hockey for the 2011-12 hockey seasons. Parents will be allowed to coach at all levels.

We are finding that several families think they are registered with the Fargo Freeze but are NOT. Remember there are two steps to the registration process. You must register with USA Hockey via their website....but you're NOT DONE! Please return to this site and complete the Fargo Freeze player registration. Not sure you are FULLY registered? Fargo Freeze Player Registration--NOW OPEN!!

Player registration for youth hockey members in Fargo is now open! Click the link below to start the registration process. The Fargo Freeze includes players beginning at the Termite level all the way up to and including 19U & Jr. Gold. Remember, you must first register with USA Hockey at:  https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/register_form_input.action.

NOTE: All travel team registrations must be completed by 9/1/11 in order to guarantee placement on a team. Games and tournament entries for travel teams are scheduled well in advance of the start of the season.  FYHA needs an accurate count of players at each level in order to plan for the number of teams needed.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Levels of play and fees

Termite

  • Boys and Girls City League Teams -Born between 7/01/04 & 6/30/07
  • FEES: $45 to USA Hockey/NDAHA for players born before 2005. Players born after 2005 pay $0! Fundraising and tournament work required.
  • Temites will be divided into 3 in-house leagues.  Early Starts, Termites 1 and 2.
  • Camp begins on October 23rd.

Mite City League

  • City League Teams -Born between 7/1/02 & 6/30/04
  • FEES: $105, plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Mites will be divided into 2 in-house leagues.  Mites 1 & 2.
  • Camp begins on October 16th.

8U City League

  • Girls City League Teams -Born between 7/1/02 & 6/30/04
  • FEES: $105, plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Girls 8U will have 1 in-house league.  2nd year travel 8U will begin after January 1st. 
  • Camp begins on October 16th.

Rec League

  • Recreational Hockey League -Boys & Girls aged 9-13, and 14-18
  • This is an in-house recreational hockey league for boys and girls not involved in a travel hockey league. Rec Hockey is a non-competitive and fun league for those older kids who want to start hockey or for youth who still want to be involved in hockey. No travel is involved. Only one game each week. Players registered with another team are NOT eligible.
  • FEES: $105, NO fundraising required

Squirt Travel League

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/00 & 6/30/02
  • FEES: $380 plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Estimating three "A" teams and five "B" teams.
  • Optional camp begins on October 2nd.
  • Tryouts begin October 23rd.  Teams will be posted by 1st week of November.

10U Girls Travel League

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/00 & 6/30/02.
  • FEES: $300, plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Estimating three 10U teams.
  • Optional camp begins on October 2nd.
  • Tryouts begin October 23rd.  Teams will be posted by 1st week of November.

PeeWee Travel League

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/98 & 6/30/00
  • FEES: $400 plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Estimating two "A" teams and three "B" teams.
  • Optional camp begins on October 2nd.
  • Tryouts begin October 23rd.  Teams will be posted by 1st week of November.

12U Girls Travel League

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/98 & 6/30/00
  • FEES: $400, plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Estimating one "A" team and one "B" team.
  • Optional camp begins on October 2nd.
  • Tryouts begin October 23rd.  Teams will be posted by 1st week of November.

Bantam Travel League

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/96 & 6/30/98
  • FEES: $430 plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Estimating two "A" teams and three "B" teams.
  • Optional camp begins on October 2nd.
  • Tryouts begin October 23rd.  Teams will be posted by 1st week of November.

14U Girls Travel League

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/96 & 6/30/98
  • FEES: $430, plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Estimating one "A" team.
  • Optional camp begins on October 2nd.
  • Tryouts begin October 23rd.  Teams will be posted by 1st week of November.

JR. Gold Travel League Teams (will be formed only if enough interest to field a team)

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/91 & 6/30/96 and in High School
  • $505 plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • $50 refundable deposit due now (plus non-refundable USA Hockey/NDAHA fees) with remaining $410 due if and when a team is formed

19U Girls Travel League

  • Travel League Teams -Born between 7/1/91 & 6/30/96 and in High School
  • FEES: $430, plus fundraising and tournament work required
  • Estimating one "A" team.
  • Optional camp begins on October 2nd.
  • Tryouts begin October 23rd.  Teams will be posted by 1st week of November.

All fees above include the $45 USAH/NDAHA Registration fee which you have already paid online at the USAH website.

Each player will need to download, complete and submit the following USAH Consent To Treat Form before they can participate.
