The Fargo Youth Hockey Association has partnered with the F-M Convention and Visitors Bureau to be our housing bureau for our 8 stay-to-play hockey tournaments. Hotel information will be sent out via email September 3-5 and September 9-11 based on when teams registered. Team will receive an email so they know which date they will receive the hotel information prior to the hotel week.

What does Stay-to-Play mean?
We require all teams registered in our hockey tournaments to work with our local housing bureau, the F-M Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) to select their hotel for the tournament. Those teams who do not abide by this will not be allowed to play. The FYHA Tournament Committee will be auditing hotel rooming lists for violations.

Why we host Stay-to-Play Tournaments:
By partnering with our local F-M CVB we are able to provide the incoming teams a great experience with negotiated group rates. They take the headaches out of group reservations and will work with you to create the best experience possible. The F-M CVB has a well-trained and friendly staff who are ready and eager to assist you and your team with your housing needs.

Haggard Hockey is excited to bring back our 3rd Annual Squirt International Hair Contest! Haggard Hockey and FYHA are excited to see your player's FLOW at Squirt International! By posting on social media and using the #FYHASIHairContest, the player name, their tournament division, team name, and their favorite part about hockey to be entered into the contest! 

The Sunday before each tournament week, Haggard Hockey will select 3 finalists and post them on their Facebook Page for the public to vote for their favorite flow!

The winner will be announced during the SCHEELS Squirt Olympics and collect their stick from Haggard Hockey!

One winner from each division will be selected to win. Submissions for each weekend are due:

Squirt C: 1/28/2025
Squirt B:  2/4/2025
Squirt B1: 2/11/2025
Squirt A: 2/18/2025

FYHA encourages teams to pin trade with other teams each year. Pin trading may take place at Squirt Olympics or between games - whenever the players want to! 

Teams often exchange one team logo pin per player with each team they play throughout the tournament. Teams will have a 5 game guarantee with the possibility of 6 depending on team play. Our recommendation for these exchange pins is 15-20 players/team x 6 games = 90-120 pins total for the team to exchange with opponent teams. 

Also, most teams bring larger pins to trade throughout the tournament. Each player wanting to collect all of the other team’s trading pins would need a minimum of 63 pins; multiply this number by the total number of players on your team to figure out a team order.

Many previous tournament teams have worked with Bob Person at Hockey Dream Pins, and he is excited to provide his quality and service to all Squirt International teams.
